Introduction to Information Architecture
Time and Location TBA
Most design teams don’t have a dedicated information architect on their team, so it’s important that all designers have, at a minimum, a strong understanding of IA basics. This workshop will give participants exactly that – and will make them an indispensable member of their team. This is a full-day workshop teaching participants the fundamentals of information architecture (IA) – everything from what IA is to how to design navigation menus and taxonomies that work.
Main takeaways:
1. The history and foundations of information architecture
2. How to design navigation menus that work
3. How to design taxonomies and metadata schemas that work
